We have been delving into parts that need medical certification. This has been a can of worms. We have found that medical certification isn’t so much about the material as it is about the geometry of the part printed, though materials do need to be safe to interact with humans in their specific applications. We updated our terms of service to reflect this change. Essentially, it is up to the customer to seek medical certification or not.

For more information visit the FDA’s website about Medical Certifications in 3D printing. You can also view our manufacturers agreement here.
