Merit 3D

Case Study: Merit3D Manufactures parts for the Superbowl LIX Halftime Show

As part of the Superbowl halftime show, lighting was created by Backlit which gave the appearance of a videogame controller covering the football field. This lighting was connected by a tube clamp manufactured by Merit3D using IND 405, a Loctite material.

The project “exceeded expectations” and was produced in time for the Superbowl. The part was designed in just 6 hours and was ready for mass production after only 4 iterations. The design eliminated the need for 7 different parts that would have been required using traditional manufacturing methods. The tube clamp couldn’t not have been produced successfully in the time allowed for the project.

The parts were printed on Phrozen Sonic Mega 8K V2’s.

Merit3D

Merit3D does mass production using new additive manufacturing technologies. They help companies skip overseas suppliers and skip injection molding by going straight to a 3D solution. They have made 60k parts in one day and have had orders around 1,000,000 parts.
